Yaoundé Hotel Elevator Project: Elevator Selection and China Procurement

Seven machine-room passenger elevators were configured for a 25-storey hotel in Yaoundé. The solution combines two rated-load classes with a unified 2.0 m/s speed to support guests, luggage and peak hotel traffic.

Elevator selection for hotel traffic

The elevator selection strategy separates high-capacity demand from routine passenger movement while retaining a consistent travel speed across the hotel.

3 machine-room passenger elevators: 1,600 kg rated load and 2.0 m/s rated speed
4 machine-room passenger elevators: 1,000 kg rated load and 2.0 m/s rated speed
Two capacity classes support normal guest traffic, concentrated arrivals and passengers travelling with luggage
Seven units create operational flexibility during occupancy peaks and scheduled maintenance
